    A friendly, flavorful place with a true country feel. Don't miss Miriam's always fresh and delicious baked goods. She's as warm as they are. The sandwiches are also fantastic. While you're in Orient take a stroll thru town and travel back in time...

    We took the 7:30 ferry from New London to Orient Point. We were looking for a place to eat breakfast and asked a workman if there was a good place nearby. He recommended the Orient Point Country Store. It is a unique little old building with a great business in it. We had fresh made breakfast sandwiches that were excellent. Also tried their zucchini bread, also very good. Looking at their blackboard menu, we noticed they listed fresh corn chowder. We ordered some to go, and had it later in the day. It was excellent. We live in Maryland, but every time we are in the area we will return. Great people, great food!
